Yuri Ahn, a fashion designer who has both techniques and sense of art, has been spanning her career in two nations.

Her first steps to the fashion started when she majored Clothing and Textiles in Korea. She worked as a Technical Designer, which enabled her to carry the technical knowledge of garments and sense of silhouette.

To explore the broad realm of the art and design, she went back to the school as a student of Nick Cave, a distinguished artist in the US. She acquired Master degree of fashion in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Through artistic activities such as sculpture, installation, object design, she has expanded her territory beyond conventional garments.

Her interest in psychological part of the human mind is reflected on her artistic style. She sees psyche as a theatrical stage where conflict, violence, merge, and symbiosis take place every day. Her thesis is based on the idea that sentimental exposure to the consciousness can function as an emotional outlet for innate desire. Utilizing diverse techniques such as sculpting, draping, and computer modeling, she is re-shaping and visualizing initial inspiration in restrained yet sensual ways.
